Truckers Primary Liability Coverage – Primary Liability Insurance coverage that protects you from damage or injuries or other people as a result of a truck accident. This truck insurance coverage is mandated by State and federal agencies and proof of coverage is required to be sent to them. We provide insurance coverage limits ranging from $500,000 to $1,000,000. Pricing is dependent on region, driving records, and history of the trucking operation.
Non-Trucking/Bobtail Liability Coverage – Non-Trucking Liability (Bobtail Coverage) provides limited liability truck insurance for owner-operators who are permanently leased to an ICC regulated carrier. It provides liability protection when the owner-operator is not on dispatch, nor pulling a loaded trailer. For example, this coverage would apply when the owner-operator gets their truck washed or brings their truck into a shop for repairs. Once the owner-operator is under dispatch, they are covered under the Primary Liability policy of the carrier to which they are leased.
Truckers Physical Damage Coverage – Trucking Physical Damage Insurance is coverage for your truck and trailer. This insurance coverage is for repair of damage resulting from things such as collision, fire, theft, hail, windstorm, earthquake, flood, mischief, or vandalism to your owned vehicles. Pricing is based on the value of your equipment. This truck insurance coverage may be required by the lien holder of your vehicle.
Motor Truck Cargo Coverage – Motor Truck Cargo Insurance protects the transporter for his responsibility in the event of damaged or lost freight. The policy is purchased with a maximum load limit per vehicle. Truck insurance coverage limits can range from $25,000 to $250,000 with excess policies available upon request. Pricing for this insurance is mainly dependent on the type of cargo being hauled.
Trailer Interchange – Trailer Interchange Insurance is coverage for the legal liability of truckers for loss or damage to any equipment which are in the insured’s possession under a written interchange agreement.
Non-Owned Trailer Coverage – Non-Owned Trailer Coverage is coverage for the legal liability of truckers for loss or damage to any equipment in the insured’s possession. This coverage is similar to Trailer Interchange but without the need for a written interchange agreement.
Workers Compensation Coverage – This insurance protects the insured against your liability to your employees for their injuries sustained while on the job. Mandated by the State Government, this insurance policy actually protects the employee and his/her ability to create future earnings to support themselves and their family.
General Liability – coverage for an insured for negligent act and/or omissions which result in bodily injury and/or property damage during the course of their business operation, not relating to the operation of a vehicle. Examples for truckers may include: Customers or others on Insured’s premises for “business purposes”; Loading & unloading using a devise not attached to truck or trailer – forklift, front end loader, crane; Insured rents motel room, goes to sleep smoking and burns down room.
Excess/Umbrella Liability Coverage – This insurance coverage provides limits of liability coverage in excess or above the standard liability limits. As business grows so does the degree of loss and this coverage is an inexpensive way to protect your assets.
Warehouse Legal Liability – this is an insurance policy designed to protect you, including legal defense, in the event that you are held legally liable for damage to others goods in your care, custody or control.
Contingent Cargo Coverage – Contingent Cargo Insurance is coverage that is contingent upon the carriers’ liability and their terms and conditions. It is secondary insurance and it will only cover you if your claim is denied by the carrier. This coverage is most often purchased by freight forwarders or brokers to protect their risk exposure to unpaid primary cargo coverage claims
