Key Bridge Waivers Extended Through July 15th

July 8, 2024 - FMCSA has issued another extension of the emergency declaration that extends the maximum amount of drive time and exempts certain motor carriers from the electronic logging device requirement due to the Key Bridge Collapse. This was set to expire on July 6, but is being extended through July 15, 2024. Additionally, both the Maryland Comptroller's Office and Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration have extended their waivers for IFTA decals and apportioned vehicle registrations under IRP. Motor carriers using the waivers are encouraged to retain copies in their vehicles.
